DAY 1) ARRIVAL IN BOGOTÁ – / – / –
Upon arrival in Bogotá, reception by a bilingual travel guide and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 2) BOGOTÁ B / – / –
Today walk to Bogotá’s main square, the Plaza de Bolívar and the government buildings around it, before entering the nearby “Candelaria” old town, the colonial centre of the city. Following this are visits to San Francisco church and to the world-famous Museo Del Oro (closed on Mondays), which contains more than 30.000 pre-Columbian gold artifacts. End with a trip by cable car to the summit of Monserrate Hill, Bogotá’s best-known landmark, with a wonderful view of the whole city and the savannah beyond.

DAY 3) BOGOTÁ – ARMENIA (COFFEE REGION) B / – / –
Transfer to the airport for the morning flight Bogotá–Armenia (flight costs not included). On arrival, transfer to a coffee plantation located near Armenia where we will spend two nights including breakfast. In the afternoon visit of a special coffee plantation which consists of a technical and practical introduction about the whole coffee cultivation and production process and a visit of the botanical garden with its impressive butterfly raising.

DAY 4) ARMENIA (COFFEE REGION) B / – / –
After breakfast trip to the Cocora Valley. With breathtaking landscapes which will be explored by a horse riding or walking trip this is one of the most beautiful places
in Colombia. Here we will find the impressive “Palma de Cera”, the Colombian national tree and one of the tallest varieties of palm in the world. On the way back
to Armenia we will visit Salento a picturesque village in the middle of the coffee growing landscape.

DAY 5) ARMENIA (COFFEE REGION) – CARTAGENA B / – / –
In the morning, transfer to the airport and flight to Cartagena, via Bogotá (flight costs not included). Welcome by the local travel guide. Transfer to hotel. The rest of the day will be at the tourist’s disposal.

DAY 6) CARTAGENA B / – / –
After a good night’s sleep a half day tour around Cartagena, one of the most impressive urban centers in Latin America awaits us. It is an ancient city constructed in the Spanish colonial style and surrounded by high defensive walls. But don’t be surprised if your own defenses fall and you find yourself falling in love with Cartagena’s heady mix of history and Caribbean charm. The tour takes us around all the historic buildings and plazas of the old city, including the “La Popa” convent and “San Felipe” castle. The afternoon will be at your disposal to either explore the streets of the old city or take a bath in the Caribbean Sea.

DAY 7) CARTAGENA – LA PAZ B / – / –
Day at leisure until your transfer in the late afternoon to the airport and flight via Bogotá to La Paz (flight costs not included).
DAY 8) LA PAZ B / – / –
Arrival to La Paz and transfer from the airport to your hotel. The airport is located at 25 minutes from your hotel. Transportation, bilingual guide, assistance on departure and porterage at the airport are included. The morning at leisure.
In the afternoon City Tour including the Moon Valley. The City of La Paz and its surroundings can transport you to a mysterious past where any corner, any street, is a hidden treasure where adventure begins; a living history which treasures the pre Hispanic times with all their traditions and magic rites on its streets. The
indigenous, colonial and modern areas, Indian Market, Witch Doctor’s Market & breathtaking panoramas are all framed by the majestic “Illimani” mountain. Visit the Moon Valley, a clay formation resembling the face of the Moon.

DAY 9) LA PAZ – LAKE TITICACA B / L / D
In the morning overland drive to Huatajata at the shores of Lake Titicaca.
On arrival, visit the Andean Roots Eco Village: The Altiplano Museum; Handicrafts village, the Mud Igloos and the mortuary towers of the Urus Chipayas. Meet the Limachi family, builders of the RA II and Tigris for epic expeditions across the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy our elegant vicuñas, llamas, alpacas and the mythical Suri.
Continue your overland drive to Copacabana with Tiquina Strait crossing.
Hydrofoil cruise to Moon Island, visit the Sun Virgins Temple “Iñak Uyu”. Continue to Sun Island. Visit the Inca “Grand Stairs” & the Sacred Fountain; taste the water believed to give eternal youth & happiness. Lunch at the “Uma Kollu” archaeological Restaurant; Visit the small handicraft market. Hydrofoil back to Copacabana and visit the shrine and the Dark Virgin.
Overland drive back to Huatajata.
Audiovisual and night experience of “The Mystic World of the Kallawayas”, natural healers of Bolivia. They believe that you first have to heal the soul in order to heal your body. “Tata Benjo”, -our Kallawaya- will bless visitors and answer questions by casting his sacred coca leaves.
Welcome drink & Candlelight dinner
Night visit to the Native Observatory “Alajpacha”. Learn from the Aymaras Cosmovision & watch the Southern constellations.

DAY 10) LAKE TITICACA – UYUNI B / L / D
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Uyuni (flight costs not included). Arrival in Uyuni and transfer to your hotel.
Visit to visit the Salt Lake Uyuni and its Isla Pescado. This is the largest salt flat on earth, located on the Bolivian Andean Altiplano with over 10.000 square Km; the Bolivian Andes offer stunning sceneries which can be hardly matched. The sound of silence makes the heart beats faster and the surreal pentagons of crystalline salt, the pure sky, the color lagoons, the cacti and the flamingos, will certainly make you feel that there is no other place like this in the whole world. Lunch at Isla Pescado, also called “Incawasi”, an oasis with formations of algae and fossils. It is covered by thousands of giant columnar cacti, which can be more than a hundred years old, growing to a height of over 12 meters. The landscape against the background of the salt pans extending to the horizon makes it an ideal place for photography hunters.

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to La Paz (flight costs not included). Arrival and transfer to the hotel.
